Yes, absolutely. I am studying to be a social worker and this is something we come across a lot in our studies. The profiling of people of color by the law enforcement, then harsher sentencing for them, it's truly unbelievable.

The American criminal justice system is unjust to POC, because of personal bias and systematic racism. Not just the justice system, but also mental health. Both systems deal with racial and ethnic disparities, because of what? That's a question we have been trying to fix for decades.

Now 2017, viewing how Obama and his family were treated not just by the Republican Party, but also by racist citizens for both of his terms; compared to Trump the two don't add up not even remotely. Trump brings this upon himself and not to mention he was on the bandwagon of Obama is not a US citizen. His wife even joined in on the same message. Where were they when the Obama children were brought into this mess? We did not see nor hear a sound from citizens or celebrities about this hatred towards the first family. Now, that Barron has seen a disturbing image of a head and cried to his mother there is such outrage. I have no sympathy for this family, what so ever (only the children). The crap the Obama's went through and remained graceful, strong, and focused is a page the Trump family needs to use for themselves.

Where was the justice/outrage for the Obama's? When the system and citizens change, then can we all move to a better stance on social, economic, educational, and health issues.

Someone posted about this yesterday. I can't stand the photos, but I don't understand why his supporters are so offended. They weren't offended by his words and actions enough to not vote for him. That's weird.

At this point in time you don't get a pass to be ignorant. There are statistics, there are studies, you can see it on the news, and you can see very prominent trends. If you're still denying the fact that the very system that runs America is still very racists, then you are CHOOSING to be ignorant. There's just way too much information out there for you not to know, you know you're just choosing not to accept it

To be honest, this has been the first time I've seen these Obama photos. Either way, both photos are totally uncool. I think the difference could be that a specific person (Kathy griffin) is responsible for this potential threat. As far as the Obama photo, there is no specific person stated responsible for this. So how is someone to be held responsible? However, if it was known who did the Obama photo, I would have also hoped they would be investigated as well. The difference is enforcement of the law. Trump saw this and wanted an investigation against her. Obama saw the photos of him, he didn't enforce anything upon it. Again, it doesn't make either any better or worse than the other. They're both terrible.
