Successful breastfeeding while pregnant?

Has anyone successfully continued breastfeeding while getting pregnant? My daughter is 5 months old and I exclusively breastfed her it is super important to me to continue to breastfeed her.

You can breastfeed while pregnant. It depends a lot on your body. Some women don't lose supply, some see a small drop, and others dry up completely. If there's no risk of miscarriage or preterm labor it's safe to do. The main issue is if you'll have enough milk.

I dried up immediately, however my daughter is three so I'm not sure how much was in there anyway. She's been dry nursing for the past six months which unfortunately isn't an option since your child needs breastmilk to survive. I have a few friends that nursed younger children with no issue. It's a hit or miss thing I think.

Get lactation support. Make sure you are taking an excellent prenatal, healthy diet and loads of water. If your supply dwindles in any way get the lactation support from la leche league or the hospital where you delivered.

I'm nursing my one year old. Are you pregnant now or trying? We didn't get pregnant until my son was a year old because his nursing schedule had to decrease to once or twice a day. Before that my body didn't ovulate.
