liking a guy who's in a relationship

Okay, my friend is dating this guy that I've liked since before she came along. Ever since they started dating, I've backed off. I'm not pursuing him, or trying to "steal her man", I just simply like him. I am in no way trying to hurt my friend or him. But he invites me to places with him and his girlfriend and we all hang out together, we're all really good friends. But I made a post earlier about it and everyone took it as I was trying to "steal her man" or "I wasn't being a friend at all" and saying that they feel sorry for her. I don't want to take him away from her but I do like him. And I would put her happiness over mine any day. I just wrote this post to clear things up. So if you saw that last poll about being a homewrecker, that was me. I just felt the need to write this post to clear stuff up.
