HELP! my boyfriend just broke up with me... I'm so confused

Hi everyone!  So my boyfriend and I (both 26)  have will have been officially dating two years this august.  We've known each other longer than that and dated months before we were official. Anyways, he's moving to another state for grad school and he had told me that I'm going with him. He talk to me about the future and how he'd propose before I moved there with him. He talked about what the future would look like with me in it, he even picked a apartment that allows you to have pets... for my dog and I.  He has said he has never cared about anyone so much (he used to be a fuck boy in college). Basically he made big plans with me that included me in his life. We had this big conversation on Tuesday and Wednesday... and well Thursday is the day he broke up with me. I'm seriously soooooo confused! He had dinner with his family on Wednesday night, they come from a lot of money, and he told me that he talked about the future with them but never told me what they said. Do you think a family with a lot of money could make their son break up  with the person they saw a future with? Like would they hold the "I'll cut you off if you don't do this"????? When we met up Thursday to talk he was crying, crying like I'd never seen him cry before. That's when he said the words, "I don't think I can do this anymore. I can't be focused on school and you. This is all me and nothing you did. I'm not ready to be engaged, married, have a roommate, or be in a relationship." (Remind you that it's been 2 years..) he told me that he's distraught.. enough to throw up 3 times, his heart is broken, he still loves me, and that he has never cared and never had so much love for someone in his life.
