TTC Then husband changes his mind?!

Question

Second month TTC, and in the two weeks wait before I take my pregnancy test.

As if I'm not anxious enough for the news, my husbands tells me last night, "If we don't get pregnant this month, I think we should wait for a while before we try again."

I'm taken back by this, and wonder if anyone has had a similar switch in their husbands mind about having a baby.

Why would he say that to me now? I'm kinda irritated he would do that.

Yes! My husband did the same to me. He was so excited to possibly get pregnant soon but then our finances got a little weird and he did a 180° in his decision.. I'm hoping he decides to try again..

My husband has flipped flopped almost the whole time while TTC and its been 2 years trying for us. We sat down and talked about it and he told me that he's super nervous to be a dad

He might just be worried about the reality of it all. Getting cold feet at the realisation it could actually be something that happens now rather than something you just talk about.

I'm the one who has flip flopped between want to TTC and waiting. Considering AF is 8 days late and I'm getting BFNs, I'm starting to think it just isn't the right time.

TTC is a lot of pressure, especially if you're doing OPKs, temping, meds, and scheduling sex.  I'd just ask him why he feels that way.  He's probably got a good reason.  ☺️

It's funny you should post this. My hubby said the same thing a couple of days ago. We aren't actively trying persay but we both want more children and I stopped taking bc last month (which he knows about and is ok with). We were on the same page about my becoming pregnant when it happens. Even started looking into bigger homes and started talking about purchasing one. Then on Wednesday, he hits me with, " I don't think it's the best time." It's irritating because AF is already 4 days late and I'm waiting until Sunday to test. I think men get nervous about the reality of babies. We already have three children, who are older and can do just about everything themselves. If I do end up pregnant, I'll just wait to tell him about it. When he's in a "better" mood.
