Is it weird that my dr. doesn't want to do a blood test?

Just called my doctor to let her know I've had 3 BFPs in 2 days. She scheduled my ultrasound appt for the end of June (😄). When I asked if I should come in for blood work to confirm before the ultrasound, she said no. I'm wondering if that's odd and if I should call back and request a blood test? Curious what others experiences have been! ☺️

I'm from the uk and literally phone up and get booked straight in with the midwife then the midwife books the scan in so I don't even see the dr at all xx

Nope, not unusual at all. I am 4W1D today but yesterday I went to the doctor letting them know I was pregnant and also because I thought I had a uti (which I did). The doctor confirmed the pregnancy and uti with a urine test. I go back on June 19th for the first ultrasound.

However, you should be given paperwork to have blood work done for the usual tests they do when you find out your pregnant; at least I was. Congrats!

I never had to do blood work with my first two, I have to do it this time because of new history of ectopic now.

Nope. My doctor doesn't have my come in for blood work. They take a positive yet as a positive and then schedule my appointment for 8 weeks or up

The first time I had a BFP, they didn't ask to do bloods. I ended up having a chemical pregnancy. This pregnancy, because of my history, they had me come in to do blood work. Hope this helps!
