When did you stop using progesterone suppositories?

I am at 9 weeks and my RE told me to stop using them since the baby's placenta should have taken over at 8 weeks. I want to believe my RE, but have read so much contradic information online. When did you stop and how did this go for you and your baby? I am so bloated - can't wait to stop but really want to do the right thing for the baby. I will be 40 in September, so this is probably our only chance to have a baby. Thank you.
