when to announce to friends and family

Hi ladies, 
I know this is all personal preference, but I was just curious as to when y'all have decided the announce your pregnancy to your friends and family and how do you think you will do it? I want to wait until after the first trimester as the risk for miscarriage is lower then, but I have become more and more eager to announce sooner, to like our parents and close family. So what are your thoughts?

I miscarried (5w5d) about 8 weeks ago and had already told a small circle of people by then because I was so excited.  I'm pregnant again now but I'm so scared of it happening again that I am afraid of saying anything until... I don't know.

Sometimes I start to get excited and want to try and reveal again at 8 weeks and other times I get scared and I don't want to say ANYTHING until 12 weeks. It's weird.

Like I *want* to be excited again, but I'm scared to be... At least right now. I'm at 4w4d now. We'll see how I start feeling at 6 weeks. Cautiously optimistic. ☺️

Waiting until our first u/s to tell anyone really I have one set of friends that knows but we had an ectopic in Feb so waiting until we know that the pregnancy is viable before saying anything to many other people.

I have a 7 month old, and pregnant again. With my first we told my husbands parents right away, both immediate fams 8-10 weeks, and rest of family 12-13 weeks. I don't think we're telling anyone until 12 weeks this time. I like to enjoy our secret amongst ourselves!

We told our siblings and parents right away. We miscarried in February and no one knew until we were losing our baby. This time in case anything happens we wanted our family and some close friends to know. That way more people are sending positive thoughts our way and god forbid if something happened we wouldn't feel isolated and would have the support of the people closest to us. This pregnancy already I feel better about knowing I have those people there for me.

It's up to you if you truly want to wait to tell people. We told the people that matter most to us. If something horrible did happen these are the people we wouldn't have a problem telling bad news to and they would be there for us no matter what.
