Does this black vs white crap in the media annoy the shit out of you?

I see wrong on both sides and it annoys the shit out of me that everytime I turn on the damn TV or read the news it's black vs white.  I am black...and I get tired of not being able to point out wrong doing in the community because I we are ALL suppose to think alike.  This shit annoys the fuck out of me!!!!!!!

I am completely annoyed with it and I feel like I cannot voice my opinion over it because I am white and end up ridiculed. I want it all to be over with. We are all essentially dealing with the same problems. The media is making everything so much worse and I like the media because we obtain extremely important information fast but they blow up every single situation. The media creates such a catastrophe between everyone

It's made so much worse because the news media often talks about black people as if they're a monolithic group of people, almost like they can't and don't have differing beliefs or political views
They've started to do the same with the "white working class," though not at all to the same extent

The media has totally made this worse.  I'm also over everyone turning everything into a racist topic and everyone trying to erase history like it didn't happen.  The civil war happened and is a part of history.  It may not be a pretty story that everyone wants to hear but it happened.  Changing every mascot for a college that offends you or taking down every statue that offends you will not change history.  The media feeds into everything and is usually one sided on it making it worse too

I'm just tired of the media speaking for all in terms of opinions: all black people believe x, all trans people support x, all gay people want x, etc. It's made it so that if a person in one of those groups has an opinion that (gasp) deviates from the norm of their group, they can be accused of lying about their race/gender/sexuality because people can't believe that they would have an opinion that's outside of the norm. It's made a lot of people afraid to express valid viewpoints in fear of being called a traitor or a faker by their own group.
