Braxton Hicks contractions

Hello ladies, I am 23 wks pregnant and I felt my fist Braxton Hicks contraction. My uterus got firm and in lasted less than a min. My question is, is this too early to start having them and also do I need my midwife know or is it completely normal. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
