I believe that the media is pushing racism. This movie was unsettling to me. First off when the main character's friend tells him "you're meeting your girlfriend's white parents? What did she lick your balls?" Something like that. What is wrong with meeting any parents of any race/ethnicity? And then the whole plot of the movie... To me this is pushing the idea that interacial relationships are not ok or to be feared. Yes it brings up the history of the horrors of slavery and opens our eyes to the past. But do we really need a film like this in this day and age when we are trying to overcome racism and demolish the disapproval of interracial relationships? Opinions?
