Do you think someone can love their step children as their own?

I sure do. As I am a step mom.
Tho their is a difference in the bond between them and my biological child.

The difference being.... I have grown to love them as my relationship with my now husbands grew. Love happened over time. I have bonded over big kid things. I am the one who showed them how to tie their shoes. We learn during the summer. I have to share them. I was not there from day one.

My biological child I loved him the moment I knew I was pregnant. I cried at the sight of him in an US. I know I am the reason he is a live. I have nurished him from day one. I look forward to seeing him grown up and meet his milestones because I will not miss one. And I don't have to share him.

The person who birthed my two kids is absent. It hurts my children seeing me bond with the baby. They have question about their babyhood. I can not answer those question and the people around them who where don't remember. There was such turmoil around the first fe years of their life.

It's tough.

Absolutely. My Father is technically my step father. I'm 34 and I have three kids that he loves more than anything. It's absolutely 100% possible

I'm not sure. I have a stepfather and he surely treats us differently than he does hid own children. Also when we messed up he always told my mom "... your child..."
But I do know that there are many parents wgo really truely treat their partners children luke they were their own.

It depends on the person and on the time they "grew up" together.

It's no different than adopting a child. Many people are threatened by the prospect, bc they would feel replaced.

I love all of my bonus babies to death. One I've raised since a year (he will be 4 In july) and he calls me mommy. It is possible.

Yes, you develop a bond with the child over time, just like with adoption. There are people who don't even bond with their own biological children, so blood isn't everything.

I recently adopted my step daughter....so yrs, I love her as my own.  Always have, and always will.

They can. In some cases no and it goes horribly wrong. I am proof that not everyone can love their step kid as their own (I've been hospitalised many times with broken bones and bruising). But even though I experienced this there are so many people who are amazing step parents
