depends on if you rip and have a ton of stitches or how long you pushed. Take the stool softeners they offer immediately. I promise it helps 

It does i had stiches since my kids were big. But the doctor can give u something for it to make it easier

It hurt for me but I also had a second degree tear and it was more the stitches that hurt cause of the pressure
