Is it weird to have your mom go with you to your Transfer appointment?

My husband works on the day of my transfer and my mom offered to go with me. Is it weird to take your mom and have her in the room while they do the transfer?? Haha

My mom goes with me any time my husband can't go. She's a nurse and she keeps me calm! We haven't gotten as far as iui yet, but I would do the same thing if we get to that point! You do whatever you need to do and I think it's awesome that you have that kind of relationship with your mom.

No its not weird I had my husband come in with my first transfer and my mum came in with my second tramsfer, with my third transfer ill probably be going by myself as o don't think they allow ppl in

I had an IUI done and my mom came with me for the insemination. It was great having her there to keep me company before the procedure and during the wait time after. She also asked some questions I didn't even think to ask. And just having her there for moral support was great.

I said yes but I meant yes I'd take her not yes it's weird! If you're close having someone to support you is so nice. I'd love for my mom to come. She'd probably make jokes and help keep me calm. Apparently laughing actually increases pregnancy rates at time of transfer :) so good luck!!!!

It's good to have support with you while the transfer is happening. I had so many things going through my mind that I needed to hold someone's hand. My husband was able to go both times but if he wasn't able to I would have asked my mom. Plus, I was on Valium since I did FET to help relax my muscles. It's good to have someone there to tell them how loopy you're getting. 😀
