Homemade Baby Food

I'm planning on making my own baby food purées for my son. Just wondering who has done this in the past and what you used for storage. Did you freeze in ice cube trays or something else? When you took it out of the freezer to thaw and heat for eating, what did you put it in? My son will eventually get some of the purées I make at daycare so I need something to put it in so they can heat it right in that container and feed my son. I'm just wondering in case I need to go purchase something so I'm ready when my son is old enough.
