Gestational diabetes ??

Question

I had gestational diabetes with my last pregnancy in 2014. Will I most likely get them again? I'm 5 weeks & 1 day.  I want to start planning a healthy pregnancy and avoid getting gestational diabetes.

My sister had it with her first pregnancy but her second and third she didn't have it. I have it too and this is my first pregnancy. I believe that a healthy diet and exercise will prevent you from having GD.

To piggyback on this question, if you have borderline hypoglycaemia in general, are you more likely to have gestational diabetes?

Every pregnancy is different!!! However some women are more prone to get it than other women just based on hereditary blood on its own.
