Canceling Baby Shower

I'm unable to travel due to doctor orders. My baby shower was initially the first weekend in July. I will have to cancel it. What should I put in the letter that I'm going to send out to everyone. I've never had anyone cancel a baby shower so I'm unsure of the proper etiquette.
