When do you think it's a good time for a baby shower (trying not to jinx)

(assuming you know the gender already) I just feel as though everyone keeps telling me different things but the ones who say after birth are the most superstitious let me know your thoughts!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow and just had mine yesterday! It felt waaaaay too late, I'd recommend doing it around the 30 mark!

I've never heard of having s baby shower after the baby. Learn something new everyday. Anyway, I have usually had mine 2-3weeks before due date, at the most a month or so.

I say whenever you want to have it. I'm 30+3 with #2 and haven't had a baby shower yet but really feeling like I need to soon after reading the other comments lol. I didn't get to have a baby shower with my first as he was born the day I had intended to have my shower.

I had mine at 36 weeks! The next month moves by at a snail's pace so that was perfect for me. I've kept busy getting everything washed, hung, organized, and ready! Almost 39 weeks and time literally can't move any slower now. I'm all ready for her!

I'm having mine at 21 weeks as we wanted it in the summer for a BBQ! But we're not superstitious!! we bought things before we were pregnant. We have baby stuff in the house and we told family and close friends at 5 weeks, I'm 16 weeks and everything's going well so far. That's just how we wanted to do it!

I'm going to visit Atlanta where we used to live when I'm only 20 weeks, but my friends want to throw me a shower there since I'll be in town. It feels really early but it's their only opportunity because I won't be in Atlanta again until after babe is born and I don't live close by there now. My big family shower where my parents live will be at 32 weeks.

At 30 weeks i was barely able to walk. Could not sleep, could not do much of anything without running out of breath. Last thing I wanted was to be at a shower, even my own. Even if all I had to do is show up. Entertaining guests, playing games, and opening presents were the furthest from my mind at 30 weeks.
Had mine done at 25 weeks. Not only I had the energy, but I also had allll the time in the world to put together all the presents, wash all the clothes given, aseble cribs, swings, etc, but also lots of time to get everything else that I wasn't given at the shower. 
By the time I was 30 weeks,  we had everything set up. Clothes washed and put in drawers by size, diapers by size, nursery finished and even had my hospital bags ready by the door. 
And it was a good choice because the last two months I've spent in bed, barely able to get up to pee, shower and eat

ill be 29 weeks for mine. im flying out of state for it so i wanted to make sure i wasnt too late to fly and i want to have enough time to set everything up/buy stuff ill still need. i really dont understand the whole "jinxing it" thing

I'll be 29-30 weeks when I have mine. I want to have enough time to buy everything I need that I don't get. I feel like after birth isn't practical unless u plan on buying all the big stuff yourself and everything you'll need right away and just getting little fun stuff later for ur shower.

I had mine at 29 weeks and I was glad I did because by 35 weeks everything was set up and the nursery was complete and I had a stockpile of things i needed so I was able to relax. Around 30 weeks is a good time to have one.
