How common is placenta previa?

I was diagnosed with this today and my doctor said she is not worried and that my placenta should move up further along in pregnancy seeing as I am only 20 weeks along today.. I am curious as to how common this diagnosis is.

I had placenta previa with my first and it just barely resolved by delivery time. Now this pregnancy, I was just diagnosed with low lying placenta. Don't stress over it, the doctors will monitor it and you'll be fine! Good luck! 😊

My doctor told me it was common so that's what I based my voting on! I had it when I was 13 weeks but was told at my anatomy scan that it moved! I'm now 22 weeks
