BF SAYS NO SOCIAL MEDIA FOR US

So for the sake of our relationship we had to delete social media. Its always been a problem because guys would follow me and he'd get pissed, so he would follow/add girls even though I didn't add any guys back unless I knew them. It turned into a completion until he added some hoe he used to talk to and that was the last straw. I'm not exaggerating when I said "hoe" either cause that female has half naked pics everywhere & gets a new bf/gf every week. So I got pissed as hell so he mentioned deleting social media. And I of course said no & he said "you wouldn't even delete social media to save our relationship' I didn't wanna argue with him so I just deleted everything. Am I wrong to be mad at him? Or is he right ?
