miscarriage or what?

I thought I was 8w3d pregnant and went on my first prenatal check up yesterday. Doctor couldn't find a heart beat and said it rather looks small to be 8weeks+. He asked me over and over again if I had my dates right and I'm sure I do because I wrote down everything for menstrual, to conception to ovulation down.

He sent me to get bloodwork done and just got my results.

Pregestorone is 7.5 and Hcg is 33,000.

He's saying at 33k he should have seen a heartbeat. And 7.5 is low.

Can anyone give me advice or opinion please

My best friend thought she had the dates right and her dr told her that she must've miscarried and wanted to schedule her for a d and c but her HCG levels were still going up. Went back 10 days later and there was the heartbeat clear as day and she was measuring at 5+1. Soooooo glad she opted for the second ultrasound and not the d and c!!

Im sorry,  but you'll need to do blood work in a few days to check HCG  levels. And if they are declining .
 But progesterone that low isnt a good sign.
