5 weeks. So confused.

I woke up at 4:30 AM and was bleeding and some tissue passed. It is 8 o'clock at night now and I decided I will take a pregnancy test even though I convinced myself all day I was miscarrying. The test is soooo dark. Why is the woman's body so confusing???
