Gender Reveal Drama... Help me calm down! PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU READ/VIEW POST
Backstory: the day we announced our pregnancy to my family, my 3 aunts got extremely excited and said, "oh we should do a gender reveal at Aunt #1's pool." We were like, "ok we weren't going to do anything big but sounds cool."
Fast forward: Anatomy scan is tomorrow, meaning we'll be finding out the gender! Original plan: have tech write gender in envelope and wait until family's 4th of July party to reveal. Aunt #1 has brand new pool and will turn on pink or blue lights in the pool according to gender, surprising everyone, hubby and I included. Apparently aunts 2 & 3 have been taking smack about how we've insisted on turning the 4th of July party into a gender reveal event and that we are taking advantage of Aunt #1. They are saying (behind our backs) that we keep changing plans and being a burden. Ummm what? It was never our idea in the first place. I want to forget the whole thing and just find out tomorrow at the scan. I don't play games like this. Hubby says we should wait and just talk it over with Aunt #1. Ugh! I'm so frustrated; my husband had an awful day and I know it's important to him but I can't deal with stupid drama. My aunts freaked out and got so excited with planning this until they learned that my cousin's (Aunt #2's son) girlfriend is also pregnant, due 8 weeks after us. I don't understand why they'd say such things about us. Help me destress so I can sleep tonight!
