I'm almost 42 years old and had my first child at 40. When first child was 8-9 months we started trying again though doctors recommend waiting a year. We didn't know if we had that time! After 9 months I finally went to doctor. I had a regular period, like clockwork, and ovulated according to opk's. Dr gave me clomid and though he told me to use day 5-9, I read from others that 3-7 seemed to have better result, so I did that. After reading more, I was disappointed to see Clomid was not necessarily that effective for older women and that the doctor did not approach more aggressively. Well, it worked anyway! Over the moon!
