baby shower??

Question

When is everyone planning on having their baby shower?? And are you buying stuff for the baby before the shower? Im a thrifty shopper and love garage sales and coupons. The best garage sales are now during the summer but im not due until 10/29.. dont know if i should go too crazy thrift shopping before the shower

My big shower is a month before baby is due, we pretty much have the big things bought or family members are going to buy them so the baby's room is pretty full. I'm saving things like diapers, books, games, toys and things like that for the registry so (hopefully) people will get those items for the shower. If you find something for a really good deal I'd buy it anyway, what if someone doesn't get it for you, or even if someone buys it for you, you could exchange it, or have multiples in case the baby goes to someone's house or something (like I really want two bathtubs for this reason lol)

I'm due Oct 29th as well and I've already bought furniture and have been stocking up on other things. We're having our baby shower the first week of August so some things I am waiting on buying like toys and bouncers and things of that nature. But I know I have family members who are already buying things for the babies.
