Do you have an ultrasound scheduled hat day or just an appropriate ? Most likely you would know that you're going for an ultrasound. But if not, then they will schedule you within 1-3 weeks to do that. Though it's not for the purpose of finding gender, just to make sure everything is going well

I found out the gender at 17 weeks I asked the tech if she could tell me while she was doing the ultrasound

If you have a nice doctor you can ask them to check for you. My doc told us at 16 weeks, was so glad we didn't have to wait for our 20 week anatomy scan!

If they do an ultrasound, possibly. All doctors have different time frames they follow. Mine wouldn't even try until anatomy scan at 23 weeks. So I paid for a private ultrasound at 15 weeks and my doctor then confirmed that they were right.

it depends,  my doc wouldnt even indulge my curiosity until EXACTLY  20 weeks, not a day sooner.
