first birthday party!?

What is everyone planning for baby's 1st birthday? We are in the Northeast so it will be cold in November. Our house isn't big enough to host inside, but renting a venue for a 1 year old seem silly. What type of venue would even be appropriate/logical? Need ideas! Thanks!

I am already planning my boy's party!! There's a ton of kids with birthdays close by so I want to be sure to have a place booked!

We live in an apt in NYC so we definitely don't have the space to accommodate family and friends. Most likely it will be at a Gymboree type place. I've been thinking of themes and I'm thinking of Wonder Woman. Our family loves superheroe movies and she's such a bad ass!

Our son was born on the 18th, which also happens to be Mickey Mouse's "birthday" so we're doing a Mickey theme. I'm also pregnant with our second and he's due on the 12th of November so I'm pretty sure I'm going to do his party in October sometime, just because I don't want the pregnancy to interfere with the party (too incredibly pregnant to plan or have a good time, going into labor unexpectedly, ending up in the hospital the day of the party, etc.) and after his birthday is Thanksgiving.

I'm in AZ so I don't have to worry about it being too chilly, but I'm thinking it would be too hectic to do it at our house so I might do it at one of our parent's houses. I might also do it at some sort of venue and not have to worry about cooking or clean up at all. I haven't made any concrete decisions there yet.

This is our first baby, the first grandbaby, and first greatgrand baby on all sides of the family, so a lot of people have been asking (as they will need to travel/book flights etc). Our plan is to book the country club (ours is actually fairly inexpensive) and do buffet style like we did for her christening. It was great!! And no clean up lol. We don't have the room to host here at our place either! 😪

We're in PA so we have the winter problem too, our house isn't that big but I didn't expect to have that many people, probably just the grandparents and his one baby friend 😂 I was also planning to tell the rest of the family that they could do a drop in, I figured that way the house wouldn't be totally full ever, but people could still come in and see the baby but not really stick around 🙄 he won't eat or sleep when there are too many people around so I wasn't planning on having that big of an event last too long 😂

No idea. NY here so November can be a bit on the chilly side for an outdoor party. We have a small house too, I have also been thinking. I also am not sure if I want to have a big party or not. Just invite a few people.
