relationship

So my husband made the comment that I need to ask to pay bills/spend money. Yes he's the only one that is working. But I also have a 10 month old daughter. He says that it's his money and I need to ask him to pay bills or get anything. I made the comment that it was our money and yes I know he is the only one working but I am home taking care of his child and that I shouldn't have to ask to pay bills or buy something I might need or our daughter might need. Was I wrong?
