stupid question?

Ok this might sound stupid  but I'm a FTM to be and I read an article that hearing the heartbeat early during an internal exam could be harmful to the fetus due to the sound waves used in order to hear it???

Is that true?? I heard and saw my babies heart beat at exactly 6 weeks a little over a week ago, and now I'm FREAKING out that hearing it might have been too early to do so and that I may have potentially harmed the baby?

Am I being ridiculous? 😰 Shouldn't the ultrasound tech have told me that if that were the case? I'm just not sure what to think right now.

If it harmed your baby or yourself it wouldn't be carried out. Its perfectly fine and absolutely normol. Dont worry honestly theres nothing to worry over.

that isn't true :) it's not a health risk otherwise they would not do it. We saw our babys at 6wks but it was too faint to hear, am now 15wks and everything is healthy. I have found his heartbeat on my at home doppler since about 11wks only a couple times as he moves every time I try (he doesn't like being even the slightest bit poked 😂)

My Doctor told me the Doppler doesn't harm them but it does annoy most babies. My daughter would move as far from it as she could.

No I think if it was harmful they would not do it hopefully you'll be fine and nothing is wrong I have 2 kids and I heart the heart beats at 6 to 7 weeks they are healthy little girls
