Is increased maternal age considered high risk?

My sister is 37 years old...she was told her pregnancy is higher risk. Will she still go to 40 weeks?? Or would they induce earlier? Any information would be lovely.

Most ob's will automatically place her as high risk however she isn't actually high risk unless she has medical complications or pre-existing conditions.
I advise she see a midwife as they approach pregnancy as a natural occurrence not something that requires medical intervention.
I'm having my 6th child at 39 with zero issues whatsoever. Had my 5th at 36 with no issues...
I do not have to deliver early
I do not need more appointments, testing or scans either.

From what I know they won't induse unless she has a medical problem, she would be considered "high risk" for her age only.
But nowadays more women are having children later and later.

I am considered advanced maternal age. Still sounds so funny to me. I am the same age as ur sister. I've had no issues so far. Didn't even need amniocentesis which was a major concern for me. Doc just didn't think it was necessary. When I start my weekly appointments at the end of the month I will also go for weekly scans. That seems to be the only change for me.
