contractions coming and going?

I've had contractions for the last 3 days, most of them being as strong and getting 10-15 mins apart :/ but they go away before I go to bed and come back after I eat breakfast... last night I felt them all through my back and under my ribs all the way to the bottom of my uterus, is it normal for them to go away before bed? And for 3 days straight after being so strong? I'm due on the 20th.
