pumping before baby

Just tried pumping for the first time to try and induce labor and also just see my production since I leak so much. How much did ya'll produce first time? And did anyone else try before baby? Should I continue to do it every day? Will that help my production or will it just remain the same until she's here? I've also not drank a lot of water today and I leak more when I drink more. Just curious. 38+4
