Father's day

I was at work and I saw one of my residents. I said happy Father's day to him and he gave me a huge hug. It got me right in the feelers. My own dad ignores me, doesn't talk to me, never calls me and won't even help me out. I asked my own dad to look at something on my truck once because my hubby was concerned about it. My dad said no. It was a 5 minute job and I was driving back home which is a 3 hr drive. My husband was so upset and worried about me driving. I made it which is a good thing but still, that is something a parent is suppose to help you with. My mom text me and said you didn't tell your dad happy Father's day. Like am I wrong for not phoning him. He's never tried to have a relationship with me. This man at work just made me so happy. I never expected a hug and it made me feel important. Sorry rant over
