When do they start checking you for dilation? I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow and I have my appointment Friday. Just wondering when they usually start checking for dilation, so I can be prepared? Lol.

I'll be 38 tomorrow and have yet to be checked at an appointment. Some doctors don't until later because it doesn't always mean anything as far as when you'll go into labor.

It varies by dr office. But usually around 36/37 weeks.

Mine didn't check till 39 weeks because I wasnt getting contractions or anything. I think some places do it different because other people we know got it done around 36-37 weeks until they had the baby. They just didn't see the point of checking if I wasn't closer to my due date or seemed like I would be going into labor at all

When they check you for strep b around 36 weeks they usually start . I'm 37.5 and I'll be getting checked again this week
