I lost my baby.
I'm beyond shattered.
Finally, just got home..
Yesterday, at 4:10, I started spotting.. it went from light pink to light brown discharge (accompanied by intense cramps and backache) for hours.. then, I awoke at 2:30 am to blood in my pants. Bright red. Went to the bathroom, and immediately felt a clot dislodge and flop into the toilet.
I'm still losing clots, and bleeding an incredible amount.
Every single time, I lost a clot.. I shoved my hand into the toilet, looking through them.. hoping to see the remnants of my baby.. but, to no avail. (I was 8 weeks and 2 days).
Went to the dr for an ultrasound to confirm.. nearly refused to go, because this was the last kind of ultrasound I had hoped to see. But, I went.. and had a painful pelvic exam to confirm. From there, I was given a prescription for pain medicine since I've been in excruciating pain all night, morning & afternoon long. Then, I was immediately sent to the local hospital for blood work and a rhogam shot - since I'm RH O-.
Now, I'm laying on my couch, trying to relax and wait for these meds to kick in.
I'm mentally and physically heartbroken. This is my third pregnancy.. My first, I miscarried at 5 weeks. The second, I carried my daughter to full-term and am blessed with a gorgeous 3 year old.. and now, my third... which, we all know how that's turned out.
I'm shattered. Absolutely shattered.
