Prepping for your period like a boss 😎

Glow

Ever been stuck somewhere without a pad or tampon in sight? It happens to the best of us.

Stock your stash

A great trick is to just keep a little stash of tampons everywhere you spend a lot of time. Store some away in your locker at school, desk at work, the glove compartment in your car, and maybe even at your bae's place.  Keep one in your purse in an Altoids container and just remember not to casually offer Altoids to people.  “Here, do you want a OMG, SORRY, PLEASE LET ME CRAWL UNDER A ROCK.”

Of course, you'll have to restock these places eventually, too, but at least you'll have your bases covered.

Pack extra undies

Leaks are pretty much inevitable, so it probably can’t hurt to have an extra pair of undies stashed in your desk/locker/purse as well.  (We’d skip the pair of undies in the Altoid container because that has sort of a “snake in the peanut brittle can” practical joke feel to it.)

Plan your snacks

And speaking of peanut brittle -- during that time of the month, who doesn't want to just go for anything salty and sugary?  Your period is that time of the month when you’re like, “Why are people spending so much money on takeout when seven Snickers bars are such a delicious and affordable dinner?” But we have to do our best to resist because those foods just make everything, especially bloating, worse.

Try to plan out your period snacks ahead of time so you won't go crazy when the cravings hit. Have bananas or other ripe fruit on hand to ease sugar cravings.  Keep some almonds or nuts on you for when you need something more substantial (do not, obviously, keep them in the Altoid case with the Tampons or this is going to turn into some 80’s movie-type comedy of errors), and if those aren’t cutting it, dig into some dark chocolate.

And there you go, before you know it, you are a period pro!
