SI joint issues
I'll start with since I was 16 I've always had issues off and on with my SI joint. I've not ever had issue during a pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy. Apparently number 3 is my lucky number!!
Woke up this morning with intense pain on the left side of my back that ratiated into my hip and groin. So I called doctor and made an appointment. I did self evaluate I wasn't bleeding, not leaking fluid, no fever, and baby was moving like crazy!
As two hours passed leading up to appointment I made pain decreased in my back, and only my lower abdomen and groin were a problem.
As doctor I saw examined me she figured out my SI joint went out, she sent me immediately to PT department to be evaluated and hopefully get relief.
Therapist realigned my spine and hips, which felt amazing. I had mild pain left which is to be expected. They also fitted me with a maternity belt. Therapist told me not shifting my weight off each leg would help, and apparently SI joint issues and spine issues are normal with pregnancy. What my doctor discovered was my little bean finally started making his way head down, which is what triggered sudden onset of pain. His head now sits on my left hip. Not what I expected at 27 weeks along.
