Do you let your dog kiss your baby's face?

I got mad this weekend because my MIL let her golden retriever lick my LO's face. She thought it was funny. I love dogs but I do not let dogs lick my face and she doesn't let the dog lick her face. Why would it be okay for the dog to lick my baby's face? My LO got hives on her face afterwards.

I don't see a problem with it. I have a dog and he's very affectionate. He loves my baby. If they can lick adults why not babies? Hell lick my daughters hands and I just wash them after. There are germs everywhere you go. I wouldn't worry about a dog unless he's aggressive or gets too carried away.

I try not to, butif it happens it happens. You choose your battles and if the worst thing the dogs doing is licking the baby's face, I think you're doing alright lol

No. I don't mind if my dog licks his leg, but not the face or hands. The same goes for my cat, too.

Definitely not. One of my dogs will not lick our faces but the other one is terrible and doesn't listen at all so she does but we immediately tell her no because...ew.
