6m vomiting? (Ebf ftm)

Hi, so, my 6m was vomiting at daycare and was sent home w me😞 she slept awhile she seems fine she has no temp. I called my doctor office. when i finally got a hold of the nurse practitioner on call, she explained to me theres a bug going around. She said to stop giving solid foods stop nursing while shes sick and give pedialyte. I said like how, spoon feed or what, she replied give her a sippy cup. I dont even own a sippy cup yet😕 she went on to say i could give Gatorade or powerade or Pedialyte as long as it's clear??? Pardon me for saying, but, isnt this bad advise? Please correct me if im wrong. What do you do in this situation? Tia
