Need info on IUDs

So I just got married last month and we are both in college still and don't have a bunch of extra money to spend right now so we don't want a baby for at least 3+ years. I was on the pill but I can never remember to take it on time or even at all so I'm thinking that an IUD is the best option. I've done a little research and I'm not sure how I feel about a copper IUD it kind of makes me nervous. And I've read some reviews about the kinds that can be felt. I'm really just not sure which one I should further looking into. I am making my doctor appointment soon to have one inserted and I would like to know what you guys think. What kind do you have? What are some of the side effects you experienced? What was your co-pay if you had one? I'll take any suggestions or information you want to give.
