should i have sex?

Question

my boyfriend and i are about to have our 2 year anniversary. we're both close to being 17, and love each other to death. i swear that boy is my everything. 
anyway, cutting to the chase - we're both virgins and he's wanted to have sex for awhile, but i'm the one that's been iffy about it. but now i think i want to. here's what's holding me back, and if i can get advice on ANYthing that would be so appreciated. 
1.) age - are we too young?
2.) contraception - i'm not on birth control. condoms would be the only option. is that too risky?
3.) parents - this just isn't something i'm comfortable having my parents know about. is that okay? i just really don't want to talk to them about it.
these are really the only things holding me back, otherwise i'd be totally for it. any and all advice is appreciated.

I was 17 when I lost mine, I personally don't feel it's too young.  Birth control, I'd see if you could get on the pill just to be safe.  And you don't have to tell your parents.  There's a good chance they'll figure it out anyway (or already think you guys are doing it).

Off topic kind of...I hope my daughter is as sensible as you are when she reaches that point. So good on you for not rushing into it just to make your boyfriend happy and for being smart 👏🏿

Hey girl so first things first. You need to remember that the body you're in right now is the one you are going to be in for the rest of your life. So if you and your body are ready, then they're ready. Different people are ready at different times. Hormones and all that accompanied with what your brain is doing. Just make sure you are 100% sure before you do anything. (Oh, and even if you don't end up with him forever, make sure you aren't going to regret your first time. You will remember it. Even if you try not to (like me)) 
Second. Condoms are a must but make sure you really read into them. There are lubricated and unlubricated condoms. I'm going to tell you for the first five minutes of my first time I did not use a condom because I wanted to create my own lubricant. Even with foreplay I was so nervous I dried up. Just decide if you want to pull a me (and yes after adjusting he needs to condom up) or get a type of condom that is prelubricated, or maybe you aren't worried about lubricant. For me this is funny to think about because I was 18 my first time and I'm telling you all of this because I wish I'd known it. 
Finally. Your parents. No, they don't have to know, provided you are being safe (yes that even includes WHERE you have sex). Keep in mind though, someday they will know. They'll ask, or it'll just be a normal thing. So make sure it's something you'll be able to at least say incomfortably under your breath while not making eye contact. 
My only other advice? Have fun! Find out what you like and what he likes and learn how to work with him and move with him. lol that's maybe too tmi. Either way, do have fun. It's a wild ride! XD

I can't really help but my bf and I are going on 3 years and I'm just not ready yet. I love him to death also but I personally think we are young (even though we are 19). Even though he won't admit it ik my bf is very scared also. Plus I've waited this long I want it to be somewhere romantics etc so I've been thinking when we finally go on our first real vacation together away from parents and all. Idk that's just my fantasy idea.
