Going to bed last night I was thinking "oooh, 25 weeks tomorrow, how exciting!" I should also mention I'm having twins.. Then... I woke up early this morning at 4:00 am with some intermittent lower abdominal pain. My hospital system has a 24 hour baby line, so I called to let them know of my cramping-like pain. I was advised to stay home and try to get some rest and keep hydrated. Over the next hour, my pain increased to an 8-9/10 and it was more often than not, no matter how I was positioned, so I called back. This time they told me to head into the mother baby center right away. My husband was in TX for work, so I tried to drive myself. My pain, which turned out to be contractions (unknown to me) were so painful I pulled over and called 911. After what seemed like forever, which was really only 15 min, the ambulance got there. Off we went, but soon after leaving my water broke! I was terrified. We got to the hospital where a team was waiting, and good thing because I had a lot of pressure and my little boy arrived very quickly! My girl was breech, so I was quickly given anesthesia and she was delivered via C section. When I woke up, my babes were already on their way to Children's Hospital. Thank goodness they are stable and doing as well as can be expected. My husband arrived home and after coming to see me he is now with our precious little babies💙💟
