Thoughts on Delivery Clothes?

I found a Canadian company called Dressed for Delivery. Has anyone delivered in one of their dresses or something similar? Are the hospital gowns (in Canada) really that bad?

I can see wearing one after delivery, but not before/during. 
My gown looked like someone had ran a marathon then gotten stabbed repeatedly. It was stinky and covered in blood and fluid. As soon as I was stitched up my nurse changed me into a fresh one. Then once I got to my room I was able to shower and change into yet another fresh gown. I didn't wear my own clothes until the morning after delivery (12+ hours later).

However, right after changing into something cute and fresh is an option.

My doctor wouldn't allow it. I HAD to wear the hospital gown. 🙄 He's a fantastic doctor, but that annoyed me.
