Sex in first trimester?

I'm currently 5w 3 days and had a miscarriage at this time with my last pregnancy I've told my husband that we aren't having sex until I'm 12 weeks! Please tell me I'm not the only one that's done this I'm just scared it will upset something or cause bleeding which would freak me out!

We were advised not to have Sex until we heard the heartbeat. And I was honestly too sick the rest of the first trimester to have sex.

We heard the heartbeat yesterday and the doctor told us it was safe to have sex af that point. We still haven't though.

Unless your doctor tells you not to is probably safe but if you're uncomfortable with something don't do it. I didn't have sex in the beginning because I just felt sick every time. Normally it's safe and doesn't cause miscarriage but like I said don't do it if you're worried. There's nothing wrong with being too careful
