High school sweethearts?

I always hear statictis about how high school relationships and marrying young don't last so I wanted to take my own stats.

I've been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years and we started dating when I was 16. I definitely want a future with him but these bad sorties are always in the back of my mind. I would love to hear any high school sweetheart success stories.

My husband and I started dating when he was 15 and I was 16. We had some breakups and drama early on (especially when I went off to college and he was still a year behind). He proposed when I was a sophomore and he was a freshman in college. We had a 2.5 year engagement and got married when we were 21/22. We just celebrated our 9 year wedding annivarsary and this September we will have been together for 15. We have a 2 year old daught and a baby on the way. He is seriously my best friend and we feel like we grew up together and kind of helped shape the other person (his mom credits me with raising him from the time he was 15 😂). Love is love. It doesn't really matter when you met.

Married 13 years this fall and together now for 20!  Hard to believe we're at the age where we've known one another over half our lives.  Extremely happy, and not one to say we've had "issues."  But....marrying someone you knew in HS means accepting a lot of change, growing together and supporting each other when your wants and needs and dreams change.  That is probably the hardest part of marriage in general, but I think your 20s are the biggest years of personal growth.

We started dating at 16. Engaged at 19. Married this past January at 21 and expecting our first child in February.  If the love is there, it'll work out. I heard a lot of horror stories in high school too!
