I learned very young. My mom used to make me watch/help her in the kitchen while my brothers got to watch tv/play outside, I used to hate it but now I am very grateful.

I learned out of necessity after I got married. I'm cooking and baking things now that I never would have dreamed of attempting just a few years ago. For example, I made sushi for Father's Day 😁. No sashimi as we do not live close enough to a reputable fish market for it to be safe to consume (90 minutes away from the closest one) so we mostly used vegetables and cooked fish and shrimp in ours. And now that I know how to make it, I put firecracker sauce on everything.

When I first moved in with my DH I couldn't even make mac n cheese from a box. I figured I better learn how to cook eventually and just went for it and I'm happy to say I can now cook pretty much anything a couple years later :)
