Amnio advise?

My husband and I are going in for our amnio tomorrow and as a first time mom and needle phob I am very nervous. If any one has had one or know someone who has any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I always say no to amnio. I tried to hard to get pregnant to put myself at risk for miscarriage.

We opted out of the amino due to my fear of needles and the risks of it. It was not worth it for us.

The chances of miscarriage is 1:200....not ever worth the risk for me.

I was always of the mindset that amnio is super outdated because of the risks.  Is there a razors your doctor is pushing for an amnio vs the other tests such as the ultrasound or the harmony test?  That should give you all the info you need

I know anxiety can be crippling, but this sounds like a poor excuse for an amnio. You can get generic tests done via bloodwork and many anomalies can be seen on scans.
