3rd pregnancy

This is my third and I had an ultrasound done at 8 weeks and am going back at 11 weeks for another appt but there doing an ultrasound too. Is that normal I honestly don't remember because with my second I didn't have insurance so I couldn't see the dr till about 13 weeks anyways so is it normal to have two ?
