Too much skin? Really? (UPDATED!!)
I'm (obviously) a bigger girl. I've had 2 kids and the weight from the last one is being difficult to get rid of.
So I decided to join a gym. I go in wearing this top (it's a tank top and sports bra in one) and after doing some laps on the indoor track, I'm told I'm "distracting" and asked to cover up.
This is the most skin I've ever shown because I've been having body image issues. I got angry and told off management (using language not at all appropriate for a mother) and am now fighting to get a refund of my membership because of discrimination.
Other (SMALLER) women were wearing LESS clothing than me and not ONE of them was asked to cover up. I'm big, my boobs are big, I'm already squishing them so they don't bounce all over the place, what more do you want?!
Am I really showing too much?
****UPDATE****
So I made a TON of noise. The gym is owned by a local college, and the reason I joined was because my hubby is an instructor, so we were able to get a slight discount.
So I went above the management and took my issue to the dean (since my husband knows him). I gave him my account and told him what I expected to happen.
The dean agrees with me. He has spoken to the person(s) responsible and has said I will be contacted when they process my return.
Thank you to everyone who commented. It's so nice to see women encouraging each other. I really appreciate all the kind comments, it's helped me a lot!!
