Your mother or sister's labors compared to yours

I'm pregnant with my first baby! My mother and sister both had terrible labors with their first babies. Their water broke and then did not progress at all which led to having to have pitocin and so on. I'm just curious if your labors were similar to your families and if I could expect the same failure to progress with my labor. I understand that all labors are different, but just curious if there is correlation. Also, I am much more physically active then my sister and mother were..I'm hoping this will help :p
